POINTS UPDATE: Mat Williamson Cuts Sheppard’s Lead, Felix Roy Moves to Seventh

Current Points Leader: Despite a runner-up finish during Malta Massive Weekend, Matt Sheppard’s point lead shrunk to 27 points after Mat Williamson found Victory Lane for the eighth time in 2024.

The 10-time defending Super DIRTcar Series champion has finished in the top five in 13 of the 15 Features in the 2024 championship season.

Movers:

Anthony Perrego (+1): After his third consecutive top five finish, Anthony Perrego moved up one position to fourth. The Montgomery, NY driver earned a fourth-place finish during Malta Massive Weekend after starting 20th. 

Jimmy Phelps (-1): With Perrego jumping up a position, Jimmy Phelps fell to fifth after finishing 12th at Albany-Saratoga. The “Baldwinsville Bandit” has only finished in the top five in one of his last six starts, earning a fifth at Brockville Ontario Speedway. 

Felix Roy (+2): The 2023 Super DIRTcar Series Rookie of the Year is getting hot at the right time, moving up two spots to seventh in the standings. The Napierville, QC driver has three consecutive top 10 finishes after an eighth at Albany-Saratoga on Saturday.

Jack Lehner (-1): Despite finishing ninth at his home track, Jack Lehner dropped one position to eighth. However, he’s only one point behind Roy entering this weekend’s doubleheader at Atomic Speedway. The “Ginga Ninja” has earned two consecutive top 10s. 

Darren Smith (-1): A 19th-place finish for Darren Smith dropped him to ninth in the standings. The Binghamton, NY, has six more races this season to try and rebound.
